Rating by category:
Comfotable room & bed, very nice bathroom & separate WC, quiet, garage, central town location.
Souless & characterless chain hotel with very poor dining area.
position. Restaurant food
Lack of staff at the bar. Lack of signage to lifts to rooms only one towel provided for two people. Too late found out there was another in a cupboard! why not put it out if the room is booked for two?
Right in the Center
The hotel staff told me that Booked.net did not communicate my request for quiet room and given me a room facing the main bus road. Eventually, the staff has given me a different room facing the back.
Location Quiet rooms
Cost of breakfast with small selection For the room cost the small buffet should be free. The colours in some rooms are too bright!
Cleanliness comfortable beds pet friendly 12€ per dog
Payment for hotel car park although garage was empty
It's location is excellent because it is close to the station where you can get the tgv to Paris, Bordeaux and Toulouse. In addition, it is located close to many bars, restaurants and shops. Finally, the rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Everything.....nothing was to much bother for the hotel staff.....great location for city centre
Friendly helpful staff on reception at check in and subsequently Staff in restaurant Parking facility Having adaptors for sale Plenty of plug sockets in rooms Super room lighting Super bathroom lighting to have clear or opaque view to bedroom Murals in the dining room Very good breakfast
Vibrant room decor excessively garish, whilst ultra modern and classic can be blebded in this case the interior designers have got it wrong and the vividly coloured stripes are not congruent with this very quaint property. A contemporary boutique design with more restful colours needed and would be more in keeping with the original building Lack of iron/ironing board
The reception did not found my reservation, but I brought my own paper copy. Why ? The did not give me an answer.Very small room
Very nice & efficient staff. Location. Excellent choice at breakfast Large bedroom Its own secure underground car park
Helpful staff and a very pleasant although standard "big hotel chain" room. Comfortable and clean, with good bathroom facilities. Good location just opposite Les Halles and an easy walk to local shops, restaurants, tourist sites etc. Nice gardens overlooking the lower parts of the city - which in truth aren't all that pretty! Decent breakfast.
We would have liked to take our breakfast outside in the gardens but all tables had been used by the time we came down and they weren't being cleared very fast. No doubt had we asked a able would have been cleraed but there seemed to be only one preson on breakfast duty looking after several sets of guests
It was very central - within the town centre and offered secure parking. Good Breakfast. We wished we had eaten in the the evening as the menu looked very good.
The rooms in the newer section of the hotel where we stayed were characterless - but for an overnight stop that didn't really matter.
Our room was large, and enabled my disabled husband to move around without difficulty. The hotel was easy to find, and in a central situation. It was easy for us to take a little look at central Angouleme, and enjoy a taste of the town. The staff were very helpful, and friendly.
The "wet room" supposedly for a disabled person to use safely, had a very slippery floor once the shower had been used! Someone with limited mobility found this very worrying, and needed assistance! Not enough grip handles are provided! Didn't like the glass panel with a switch which could reveal all happening in the bathroom to anyone in the bedroom!! Rather kinky we thought! Breakfast too expensive! Be aware... Of the cost of the food! Do ask to bring your car back out through the entrance..... The exit route is far too narrow and awkward for large cars!
